Michigan State University offers a wide range of courses devoted to environmental studies, providing a broad perspective of environment issues beyond the journalism courses. More than 150 environmental-related courses are being taught in 23 departments and programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students in the Environmental Journalism Program can take advantage of these resources, choose from a large selection of environmental courses, develop their own concentration in specific environmental areasfrom agriculture to zoologyand accumulate broad and in-depth knowledge of environmental issues to help with their news coverage or scholarly research. The following list of departments and programs offer environmental related courses. New courses are always being developed; more information can be obtained from the individual departments or the Environmental Journalism Program.
